Climatic Advantage
The climate in Arunachal Pradesh can be classified as tropical, subtropical, temperate, and alpine. The state receives one of the country's heaviest rainfalls, exceeding 3500 mm for 8 to 9 months of the year, primarily between May and September.
Demographic Advantage
Having a population of 1.3 Mn spread across 28 districts of the state, Arunachal Pradesh has 938 females per thousand males. The state has seen an increase in workforce over the years, highlighting robust demographic trends. According to the 2011 Census, the state's literacy rate is 65.39%.
Healthcare Facilities
As of February 2023, Arunachal Pradesh has 346 health and wellness centers providing medical care to its population. The 500-bed TRIHMS Hospital and Medical College offer treatment for various illnesses, while the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences provides free chemotherapy.
Educational Facilities
Several initiatives are being implemented to boost enrollment, attendance, and learning outcomes, including Bagless Saturday Activity Day, a 100-day Reading Campaign, and the Aao School Chale program.
Technology & Advancement
The state has created the Arunachal Pradesh State Drone Framework (APSDF) and Action Plan 2022 to enhance the use of drone technology in various critical fields. Satellite-based monitoring and geo-tagging for monitoring of developmental projects are used in the state of Arunachal Pradesh.
Infrastructure
Over the past decade, the Government of Arunachal Pradesh has constructed more than 1,707 km of National Highways, 13,000+ km of rural roads, and over 220 bridges. To strengthen defense preparedness and drive socio-economic development in border regions, the Border Roads Organisation has built the Sela Tunnel at an altitude of 13,000 feet, enhancing connectivity between Tezpur, Assam, and Tawang in the West Kameng district.
Sustainability Initiatives
The state has 40% of India’s total hydropower potential, with over 58,160 MW of hydropotential and 9% of India’s small hydropower potential.
