India-Uzbekistan Bilateral Investment Treaties/Agreements

A summary of the bilateral engagements between India and Uzbekistan.

Agreements signed between India and the Republic of Uzbekistan during the State Visit of President of Uzbekistan to India

MoUs recording cooperation in the fields of Tourism, military education, Agriculture, Science, and Technology, as well as Healthcare, have been signed.

Implementation of future projects through National Cooperation Committees

The recent convening of the National Cooperation Committees highlighted the renewal of bilateral documents including the Preferential Trade Agreement and the Bilateral Investment Treaty. Future projects in agriculture were identified, and the collaborative initiatives between the Indian state of Gujarat and the Andijan region of Uzbekistan were recognized.

Joint Statement from the 2nd India-Central Asia Dialogue

During the Dialogue, the representatives discussed broadening the scope of cooperation between India and the Central Asian Nations. A US$ 1bn Line of Credit by India towards projects in IT and telecommunication, education, and energy was welcomed by all. Improvement in transportation and logistics, counter-terrorism activities, people-to-people relations, and humanitarian aid were among the matters discussed.
