The Government of India is organising a pan-India science exhibition, ‘Vigyan Samagam’, over May 2019 to March 2020. India’s inaugural global mega-science event, to be held across Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Delhi, is being jointly organised by the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Department of Science and Technology (DST) and the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), Ministry of Culture. Vigyan Samagam aims to bring students, science enthusiasts, scientists, academics and industry bodies from around the world on a singular platform, in an effort to drive future opportunities. Foreign exhibitors at the event include Switzerland-based CERN, Germany-based FAIR, France-based ITER, US-based LIGO, among others.
