The United States and India, as the world’s oldest and largest democracies, share a special bond. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan’s visit to New Delhi aims to further strengthen this partnership and enhance security and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region. This visit marks the first by a high-ranking Biden administration official since Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government began its third term.

During his visit, Sullivan will meet with Prime Minister Modi and his Indian counterpart, Ajit Doval. Sullivan’s visit focuses on co-chairing the US-India Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technology (iCET). This partnership seeks to expand strategic cooperation across key technology sectors such as space, semiconductors, advanced telecommunications, artificial intelligence, quantum technology, biotechnology, and clean energy.
