Since the revision of the MSME definition, 75.25 lakh registrations have been received.
Almost 95% i.e 71.49 lakh business registrations are micro-entreprises, out of which 4.5% i.e 3.4 lakh are small and 0.46% i.e 35,298 are medium enterprises, as per the data.
Plastics exports have seen considerable growth of 39.1% from US$7,987 million to US$11,108 million.
The plastic industry in India has generated over 34 lakh tons of plastics i.e a 21.8% increase in the last five years, as per the government.
The Indian Government’s new paperless platform for MSMEs to register through Aadhar number, Udyam registration has received approximately 12,000 registrations per day, stated BB Swain, Secretary, MSME Ministry. As per the Udyam portal, the government has recorded 75.25 lakh registrations since 1st July, 2020 after the revision of the MSME definition.
