Startups witness 27% decline in invesments in April FY22

Digital India BHASHINI or BHASHa INterface for India has been introduced as a part of the National Language Translation Mission

A brainstorming session for startups was held by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) to discuss India’s play in AI and language technology.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the Minister of State for Information Technology led the meeting.

The main objective of the mission is to ensure that as many Indians are gaining access to the Internet, they are also able to access it in their own languages.

With Startups being an Integral part of the digital India ecosystem, supporting their development regarding India-specific content and Indian languages via mission digital India Bhashini is crucial.

A brainstorming session for 80 startups and various researchers was organized by the MeitY to discuss India’s play in the field of Artificial Intelligence and language technology. 

Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the Minister of State for Information Technology led the meeting. A new initiative was introduced, titled Digital India BHASHINI or BHASHa INterface for India, as a part of the National Language Translation Mission. The main objective of the mission is to ensure that as many Indians are gaining access to the Internet, they are also able to access it in their own languages, added Chandrasekhar. 

As startups are an integral part of the digital India ecosystem, supporting their development regarding India-specific content and Indian languages via Mission Digital India BHASHINI is crucial, stated Chandrasekhar.
