Experts said that M&E businesses and revenue models emerging in the digital space will undergo changes after the rollout of 5G technology.

According to the report, India is set to become the world’s fifth-biggest newspaper market by 2026, and will also be the sole country to grow the total sales of daily print newspaper copies by volume during the forecast period. The country is expected to see an increase in total newspaper revenue at a CAGR of 2.7% from INR 26,378 crore in FY21 to INR 29,945 crore in FY26. On the other hand, the market for out-of-home advertising (OOH) is also showing one of the greatest comebacks globally and is expected to expand at a CAGR of 12.57% to reach INR 5,562 crore in 2026.

The total OTT revenue has more than doubled in 2020, partly driven by the absence of public entertainment due to the pandemic, and an increased time of viewing media at home.
