The IT PLI is a revolutionary leap for India’s IT hardware manufacturing, according to a statement from the Manufacturers’ Association for Information Technology (MAIT), as 27 companies, including industry giants Dell, HP, Flextronics, and Foxconn, secure approval under the production-linked incentive scheme.
The government’s recent announcement allows these firms to benefit from the PLI scheme, covering a range of devices from laptops and tablets to PCs, servers, and ultra-small form factor devices, with anticipated incremental investments reaching around INR 3,000 crore.
