India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has been mandated to promote international cooperation in the emerging and frontier areas of ICT under bilateral and regional framework of cooperation. Accordingly, MeitY has entered into agreements with various countries to promote cooperation and exchange of information in the area of ICT.  Such agreements come as part of the Government of India’s efforts to employ modern technology and innovation to bolster foreign relations, especially in the immediate neighbourhood. The Southeast Asia region features strong economic growth prospects that stand to gain immensely from the right implementation of IT solutions.
