India is on the path to becoming a global economic powerhouse, according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his address at the Vibrant Gujrat summit.

He pointed out that global agencies and experts are currently echoing this sentiment. He further guaranteed India would rank among the world’s top three economies in a few years.

Modi urged the country’s industry leaders to identify sectors with untapped potential and consider how Vibrant Gujarat could propel these endeavours forward.

He emphasised that Vibrant Gujarat showcased India’s decision-making process, industrial capacity, and the country’s rich cultural heritage to the world.

Modi commended the growth of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit from its inception, with increasing participation from delegates, countries, and exhibitors. He attributed its success to the fusion of ideas, imagination, and implementation.

The Prime Minister underscored that Vibrant Gujarat’s success had paved the way for other states to organise their own business and investor summits, showcasing Gujarat’s ability to partner with developed nations.

Modi emphasised that creating and implementing such a massive event required careful planning, investment in capacity building, meticulous attention to detail, and tireless effort. He noted that Vibrant Gujarat had transformed from a one-time event into an institution with year-round activities.

He also urged strengthening the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) to establish it as a globally competitive financial marketplace, leveraging India’s domestic demand.

Modi urged everyone to focus on the next 20 years, emphasising the importance of India’s journey towards becoming a developed, self-reliant nation.
