India is already making preparations to initiate  6G, PM Modi said during his address on the 77th Independence Day. He announced the establishment of a task force dedicated to this purpose.

Modi highlighted the widespread accessibility of the internet, reaching even the remotest villages, and revealed the nation’s aspirations to embrace quantum computing. Further, he underscored the global influence of technology and shared that even developed countries are looking to learn from the achievements of India’s Digital India initiative.

Turning his focus to the agricultural sector, he shared plans for a novel scheme to infuse technology. This initiative involves training and equipping 15,000 women with drones from self-help groups (SHG).

Modi also emphasized the remarkable capabilities of India’s youth and the government’s commitment to nurturing them by formulating policies that generate ample opportunities. Furthermore, he highlighted the government’s utilization of technology to combat corruption and improve governance.
