The defence minister Rajnath Singh also exchanged a letter of intent on advancing Futuristic Defence Technologies with his counterpart Benjamin Gantz.
The focus of the collaboration is to strengthen the existing framework of the Indo-Israeli defence cooperation architecture.
The agreement has been signed between the Indian DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organisation) and Israel's Directorate for Defence R&D.
This will enhance the technological cooperation and development between the countries.
To build state-of-the-art defence technologies focused on unmanned systems, India and Israel held a discussion during a defence ministerial conference meeting in Delhi, this week.
Defence minister Rajnath Singh also exchanged a Letter of Intent on advancing Futuristic Defence Technologies with his counterpart Benjamin Gantz. The focus of the collaboration will be to further strengthen the existing framework of the Indo-Israeli defence cooperation architecture, with both sides adapting to the India-Israel vision of Defence cooperation. Various other concerns related to bilateral, and regional matters were also brought up along with existing military activities like joint development and training being conducted.
The agreement has been signed between Indian DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organisation) and Israel’s Directorate for Defence R&D, which will enhance the technological cooperation and development between the countries, stated an Israeli Embassy spokesperson.
India has had close military relations with Israel, along with ongoing joint projects such as air defence missile systems and advanced electronics. Along with being a top supplier of military equipment to India, Israel has also helped the country with drone contracts, radars, arms and ammunition in the past. Various Israeli companies have also formed partnerships with Indian defence players to build Make in India projects for the defence ministry. This year marks the 30 years anniversary of diplomatic ties between both countries.
