EPFO adds 15.29 lakh subscribers during January

In January 2022, Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) added an additional 15.29 lakh net subscribers, out of which, around 8.64 lakh are new workers while around 6.65 lakh workers re-registered with the EPFO after changing their jobs.

Approximately 2.69 lakh net subscribers were added in January over the previous month.

In January 2022, EPFO added an additional 15.29 lakh net subscribers up from 12.60 lakh in December 2021.

Currently, the highest number of workers registered on the portal are around 6.90 lakh and fall between the age group of 18-25 years.

Maharashtra, Gujarat, Haryana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka have been leading the states.

In January 2022, EPFO added an additional 15.29 lakh net subscribers up from 12.60 lakh in December 2021, as per the latest payroll data. Out of the 15.29 lakh, around 8.64 lakh subscribers are new workers and around 6.65 lakh workers re-registered with the EPFO after changing their jobs. 

In January 2022, the highest number of workers registered on the portal were around 6.90 lakh and fell between the age group of 18-25 years, out of which, 45.11% of the total net subscribers were added during the month. 

Data across states

Maharashtra, Gujarat, Haryana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka have been leading by adding approximately 9.33 lakh subscribers in January, consisting of 61% of the total net payroll across all age groups.
