Russia offers lucrative job opportunities in sectors spanning hydrocarbons to IT and communications. The country has also come up as a leading destination for higher education. Given improving economics, a rising number of multinational corporations have launched operations in Russia, meanwhile local enterprises have seen steady liberalisation, offering new opportunities.
The Indian community in Russia is estimated at around 30,000. About 500 Indian businessmen reside in Russia out of which around 200 work in Moscow. It is estimated that about 300 registered Indian companies operate in Russia. Majority of Indian businessmen/companies in Russia are involved in trading.
