Myanmar is the only ASEAN country adjoining India and is the gateway to South East Asia.

Energy

Myanmar is an important partner in the energy sector as future offshore gas finds can be piped to India. A US$ 6bn Oil Refinery project was proposed by India in October 2020.

Myanmar has introduced substantial improvements in starting a business, infrastructure and financial regulation
