India has been at the forefront of innovation, with its startup ecosystem playing a pivotal role across various sectors, including agriculture, finance, healthcare, and education. Indian startups are driving transformative change nationwide through their innovation. India boasts the third-largest startup ecosystem globally and secured the 40th position in the Global Innovation Index (GII) in 2022.
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), through its Centre on Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Startups (CII CIES), has been actively nurturing a thriving ecosystem for innovation, startups, and entrepreneurs nationwide. Aligned with the initiatives the Government of India laid out, the CII CIES is dedicated to fostering an environment conducive to entrepreneurial growth.
