The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved transformative initiatives to drive infrastructure, agriculture, and innovation. Three rail projects—Jalgaon-Manmad fourth line (160 km), Bhusawal-Khandwa third and fourth lines (131 km), and Prayagraj (Iradatganj)-Manikpur third line (84 km)—were sanctioned for INR 7,927 crore. These projects aim to strengthen connectivity along the busy Mumbai-Prayagraj corridor and promote regional development.

To enhance sustainable farming, the National Mission on Natural Farming was launched to cover one crore farmers and 7.5 lakh hectares, supported by an INR 2,481 crore allocation over two years. This mission focuses on nurturing soil health, preserving biodiversity, and securing India’s agricultural future.

The Cabinet also greenlit the “One Nation One Subscription” initiative to make India a hub for research and knowledge, fostering interdisciplinary studies and youth empowerment. Additionally, the continuation of the Atal Innovation Mission highlights the government’s commitment to nurturing innovation in science, technology, and industry.

These decisions underscore the government’s dedication to accelerating progress and sustainable development across multiple sectors.
