India Inc becomes world leader in bot deployment: Report

Automation has become a crucial component of India’s digital transformation, and numerous business leaders have considered it to be a strategic priority

93% of the organizations are planning to increase their automation funding in the next year

Two-thirds of the companies in the report are expanding their automation funding by 25% or more

98% of the organisations believe that automation is helping them handle supply-chain issues

Indian companies have brought out the highest bot deployments in the world, according to an industry report titled “Automation Now & Next”. 

Organizations from India have accounted for 67% of bot deployment with over 300 bots enabled across their ecosystem, compared to 21% worldwide.

Automation

The report said that more than 93% of the organizations are planning to increase their automation funding in the next year, and two-thirds of them are expanding their automation funding by 25% or more. 

According to industry experts, automation has become a crucial component of India’s digital transformation, and numerous business leaders have considered it to be a strategic priority. 

Business continuity and providing quality customer experiences in the face of continuing are among the main motivations for Indian businesses to implement automation. 

About 98% of the organisations believe that automation is helping them handle supply-chain issues, and 86% of the leaders agree that automation has helped them address staffing shortages in a more effective manner. The report also stated that 99% have agreed that humans working with intelligent technologies are going to be an important collaborative role in the future.

Over 90% of the survey’s respondents believe that automation will help in addressing the impact of geopolitical and economic uncertainty, while also being a crucial component of business transformation in India.

Cloud

Nine out of ten companies globally are migrating their automation to the cloud. Cloud-based automation is an integral addition to business transformation strategies, to help them stay ready for the future. 

Among Indian respondents in the report’s survey, 97% of them mentioned that their organizations have already deployed a could-first approach for new automation initiatives, and 99% of them said that they’re in process of adopting cloud automation 

About the report 

The report is based on a survey conducted across 1,000 global companies in eight nations, by software company Automation Anywhere. India had the highest number of people responding to it.
