Currently, 16,026 applications amounting to Rs. 10,627 crores have been received on the AIF portal.
9000+ applications have been authorized by the Government.
The Centre has announced that AIF will disburse Rs.1 crore in entirety by FY 25-26.
AIF aims to provide investment by means of supporting farmers through credit facilities and interest allotment.
For lucrative development of the agri-infra projects, the Centre has authorized 9000+ applications and has sanctioned Rs.6,540 crore, said Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar during a Rajya Sabha meeting. The amount licensed under AIF i.e. Agriculture Infra Fund provides investment for post-harvest agricultural assets by means of supporting farmers through credit facilities and interest allotment.

Agriculture Minister, Narendra Singh Tomar also gave a written statement confirming, “As on date, 16,026 applications for an amount of Rs 10,627 crore have been received on the AIF portal. Out of these, 9,019 applications for Rs 6,540 crore have been sanctioned.”
